shot on are farm shoot today , heavy rain for most the morning but good to be out and watching dogs work ...171 head mix of partridges and pheasants.....

That's one happy looking Labrador! You were unlucky with the weather. Rain stopped before the start for me and held off until the finish. If I didn't have to push through some 5ft high Kale on the first drive, I'd have been dry all day. Was beating at Affeton Shoot in Devon so not too far from you. Sun came out just wrong on a couple of drives and the wind dropped so the birds just wouldn't go like they should. Lucky there's lots about this time of the season.

Yep ...damp for me too this morning mucker, came down pretty heavy for a while ! but was dry over head after lunch for the last two drives.

I thought ahead and took a spare jumper and jacket unlike most of the beaters who had to put on wet cold jackets ect after lunch .

evening shorty yes girls worked well today even though a bit thick in places as still alot of leave on and greeny about...
