When is an open shoot an open shoot?

When its run by someone other than the CPSA, Moan time again folks! I called Northampton SG to book on for the British All Round and was told I needed to be a member of the CPSA, well how is this shoot an open if you need to be a member?

Only when it says 'Open' in the title.

Like the English Open.

However for the 'British' one has to be a member of either England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland..........unless it has the word 'Open' attached to the title.
