You can find what they mean on the web as I did - do not take my word for any of these:-
crown over NP mark tell you that the gun has passed nitro proof
crown over BV mark is the View mark - incomplete guns viewed to check no faults prior to further work
crown over BP mark is the definitive proof mark for a completed gun

Diamond 10 = 10 Gauge
Diamond L - possibly - indicates a chamber length more than 3 inches. You need to read that along with other marks
Diamond C indicates a degree of choke
1 1/2 might be the maximum shot load in oz
So itās been around a while obviously I donāt shoot it much but when I do it turns some headsView attachment 10684

The M next to the 11 on the RH barrel in the photo could indicate 1921 if proofed in Birmingham 1961 if proofed in London (the proof markings look to me as if they are from Birmingham - so 1921?)
Certainly would be. To be honest I do take it clay shooting I load up some 24g Clay loads for it, save stressing it out too much although Iām sure itās capable of a lot more than that . Normally I like to take it to places I havenāt been before turn some heads haha .Could be interesting doing a 100 bird sporting or a few rounds of skeet

It certainly would but as a Yorkshire man Iām not sure I could throw that much lead at a clayYou could go to 1 1/2 oz or 42g. That would raise a few eyebrows.

I would bloody believe it too we shoot with a bloke at our local club very much of the same vein. Itās a round of 25 so Mathematics dictates there has to be a stand with 3 singles. On this stand me and a few others in our āgroupā will shoot twice at a single target if we miss or if Iām feeling extra George Digweed and thereās a large piece left over we double tap one clay. He gets beside himself āwaste of leadā and āmore money than senseā is the usual claims from the sidelines. Along with claims of a bad back and ādid I hit thatā when he is in the stand. Wouldnāt change him thoughā¦ā¦.. honestI was in a pub when a Yorkshire man dropped a pound at the bar.
As he bent down to pick it up and it hit him on the back of the head.
