It's from the ancient greek - I would have thought you were familiar, from the first time around.
Here I am. The German word is "homogen". Blaser's Marketing argues with "homogeneous shot pattern". So substitutes may be the words evenly or uniformly.

Are we not getting carried away with this pricing structure?
The F3 was a relatively cheap gun when Beechwood Products marketed it .
Then without any reason at all it was marketed by someone else and the price shot up , without any product change.
Then we got the Luxus and Prestige models at Krieghoff pricing, Perazzi and Beretta saw this and immediately increased their prices.
It's the same with Mars bars and Wagon Wheels , higher prices but less of a product.

Jeez, there's me toying with the idea of an F3, the stock on the standard one isn't made of Wagon Wheel, surely?
Seriously Salopian, are you suggesting that the F3 series are overpriced? What level would you consider good value against their competitors?
Having recently been looking at these they're most definitely nicely engineered, and I can't say the same for Beretta products that approach the F3's price.

No mate, that is "shrink-inflation" like 19 fags in a packet. They are trying to hide inflation...and that's a whole different conversation.

The point that I am trying to make is that we as customers in a specialist market are often subjected to profiteering.
Look at cartridge prices, they went up nigh on 100% in some cases sighting Lead price as the cause, then oil price, then transport cost and salaries.
We all know that was possibly an untruth???
Why can so many people shoot so well with a Beretta 686 or Miroku costing less than £2,000?
Are these luxury brands so significantly better?

There's no doubt at all in my mind that the Krieghoff, Perazzi, DT10/11/EELL Blaser guns that you cite are significantly better designed, engineered and finished than most of the lower priced offerings. Having recently been perusing the market I can tell you that I'm disappointed by some of the entry level models from Beretta and the like, but quite impressed by the quality of those that you name. There is a definite difference, quite marked, and to me that indicates that the premium price products are worth more than their lower priced cousins.
The question about people shooting better with Mirokus and 686's is moot. That one's been going the rounds for ages. Mr Stanbury would doubtless have used a Purdey had it been a better bet - but he used a Webley & Scott. Naturally that was in the days of the real Webley & Scott rather than the current badge-engineered things.
But I'm sure that I can enjoy shooting one from your list, in the knowledge rather than the vague feeling, that it's actually a better piece of equipment. Better engraving and better wood don't make a gun shoot any better, of course. Indeed there's always the fact that part of the mind of the Ferrari owner is the fear of accidental damage that may mar his pride and joy; that may deflect attention from the job in hand. But confidence does play a part, and that confidence is missing from the Berretta owning experience of today.

I have the f3 sporter without the barrel weights, and the gun is very well balanced. In my option not required, just something to fiddle with and make up excuses as to why you might miss, other than putting the lead in the wrong place.
Would recommend Blaser to anyone. I really like mine.

Shot this at the launch day at Churchills.... its a nice gun without a doubt. Beautifully put together as you'd expect. Of course its not an F3 but it is a great way into the Blaser brand for those who cannot afford to spend big money, the wood on the test guns (they were pre production models so were heading back to the factory after the launch) was ok but nothing special however considering the price point I thought it was about right. The ejector system is a la F3 but the action is quite conventional in design terms, however everything feels crisp and functional, good trigger pulls, ejectors etc. The action itself is very shallow and aesthetically is quite minimalist, however that suits the whole Germanic efficiency thing......
Both Clay and Game versions were easy enough to shoot, though the 32" Sporter would be my choice without any hesitation, the 30" feels very quick at the front end and the stuff I missed on the day I had got in front of, the 32" is more stable and im sure it wouldnt be a problem if you shot it all the time but going from what I usually shoot to this I did find it needed quite a bit of reining in at times. Thats by no means a criticism as overall I hit pretty much most of what I shot at with it, all of them were very comfortable to shoot with no recoil issues even when switching from Churchills 21gram school load to Black Gold the difference wasnt especially big.
Its a very good gun and is going to have an impact on the market without doubt. Keenly priced and sensibly thought out to keep options down this is a mass volume gun that dealers can sell without having to go through countless options and specs. As has already been said I would expect it to take share from both the 692 and 725 as lets face it there are an awful lot of Blaser fans out there who have been waiting for second hand F3 prices to come down, well with the F16 the wait is over...

Sounds like a bit of a Mare to me.
I think I'll stick to my old F3, just need to throw away all those additional weights garbage and the wheelchair.
