hokay, silly first question i recon but......

CPSA or BASC? whats the difference and does it matter?

Both give you insurance, CPSA insurance covers shotgun only. If you intend to shoot competition's then CPSA is the way to go .

Although I am,these days,a clay shooter only,the BASC does seem to be more pro and reactive towards matters concerning gun ownership and the law.

As Bryan says if your intention is to ever shoot clays in competition then that is,currently,the CPSA's forte.whereas the BASC is more orientated towards game shooting.

From your comments in your first post about shooting clays and game I would initially join the BASC.
