Back boring or long forcing cone barrels

Long forcing cones first and secondly backbored barrels do help , especially in recoil reduction and patterns. My experience says that after lengthening the forcing cones on a browning ultra xtr , the gun was definitely improved , especially in the recoil department. John

    Cartridge Reloading!

I totally agree Salopian. My experience says that home-loaded / reloaded shells can be as accurate or more as commercial made ones. The things that I have seen measuring top-of-the-line commercial brand shells are beyond what one would expect. Powder differences of over 0,10 grams , wads not...

    Cartridge Reloading!

I usually load about 6 boxes / hour in my MEC machines , and they are not progressive. Progressive machines are not very accurate in powder measurements , especially with european powders. I mainly use Nobel Sport , Baschieri Pellagri and gualandi powders and components. My cost /box with new...

    Fiocchi

Fiocchi Blue and black are powders made by Baschieri Pellagri for fiocchi and are very similar (if not the same) to B&P 's F2 and MB powders. Modified single base propellants with around 10% nitroglycerin. They are very good and give good velocities with moderate recoil (as do all B&P...

    Tennis/Golfers Elbow

Had the same problem some years ago. After a lot of visits to doctors , i cured it with a combination of a neoprene elbow support , some vitamins (B1 , B6 , B12) , rest and a pad under my elbow while I'm using the PC at work.

Best Recoil pad and somebody to fit it?

if we're talking about a rubber pad , it's a piece of cake to do it on your own. A grinder , some grinding paper and a little tape is all you need. I tried it for the first time a couple of months ago and it's really nothing

what would be the 1st technique you would show a new shooter?

What would I show to a Beginner ? I would begin with a good stance and mount , move on to focusing on the Bird and then teach him swing through and pull away. That should get him started in the right way.

    Hello From Athens,Greece

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome guys , shooting here is very much affected by the recession , very few people continue shooting on a regular basis and its a pity because we just started sporting disciplines here seriously.
