    Yildiz Pro Black Sporter

Did you manage to get it sorted after? Quite fancy trying one, especially with the later stock design.

    Express Power Gold

Bought some of these to try, both in Fibre and Plastic - went shot size 8 which as I understand is a UK7.5 - Is that the same as all of Express' cartridges? Eg Power Blues, etc

    Laporte trap problem!

I doubt it's still under warranty, I believe Laporte Traps come with a 3 year warranty (depending on the trap)

Accessories that have transformed your shooting..

My fully adjustable ISIS X Pad - For someone with sloping shoulders and a relatively high gun mount, I always struggled with not being able to get enough drop at heel, but this is no longer the problem. In terms of gun fit and my gun mount, it has made me feel a lot more comfortable. Before I...

    Shoots near Cwmbran

Popping down to Cwmbran tomorrow, and just thought I'd see if anyone knows of any decent clay ground close by? Doesn't need to be anything fancy, just something you can go around by yourself. I know there is Treetops, anybody been there? Many Thanks James Hope this is the right section...

    High Rib for Sporting

Uh oh, guessing that's not a popular subject on here haha

    High Rib for Sporting

Regarding come height, yep that's fine! I've got an adjustable comb at the moment, so that's no major deal. It's why I'm interested in trying one actually as even with the comb in its lowest position is still shooting slightly high enough for my liking. I was thinking a higher rib could help...

    High Rib for Sporting

Thanks for all the help all, useful to see some photo examples too. What height rib would you class as a high sporting rib? CG do the Summit Acsent which has a 10mm fixed rib, the Impact range has a 17mm high adjustable rib, so I guess this is towards the upper end for a sporting gun Reason I...

    High Rib for Sporting

Thanks all, really appreciate all your opinions. I'm talking about lower ribs, say something like 1/2", none of these Eiffel tower type things haha Many Thanks James

    High Rib for Sporting

Out of interest, does anyone on here use a High Rib for Sporting? Just wondering what the general thoughts are, obviously two sides to it I know the Pros and Cons of each, but just wondering what people have experienced and found... Many Thanks James

    Loads Of Pitch Feels Right

Not that much BUT it was extremely windy, the sun was low and in my eyes, and it was sleeting and I'm still not 100% sure where the gun is shooting The pitch definitely helped with a consistent mount, as did the increased drop at heel (so I can keep a more upright head position, which is my...

    Loads Of Pitch Feels Right

Thanks for the help Wesley. Went out today and took 60 shots, and no noticeable cheek slap or muzzle rise/flip I have taken a video from side on to see what the recoil is like, and there is a slight bit of muzzle rise but nothing that serious - although does anyone have a video of what it...

    Loads Of Pitch Feels Right

The gun was shooting high before, I've still get to pattern it after changing the pitch, but as I've got an adjustable comb it's no big deal

    Loads Of Pitch Feels Right

Thanks DT. I guess I'll find out tomorrow, I've never really suffered from cheek slap or a sore cheek before so I'm hoping that it should easily be noticeable if it's bad

    Loads Of Pitch Feels Right

Hi All, Basically fitting my new adjustable butt pad system (XPad) and I'm changing the pitch at the same time to suit me In the past I've always found when mounting that the shotgun pivots on my shoulder, not giving a nice firm mount and almost rocking back and forth  So now I've set it...

    Making your own pattern plate...

Thanks all, appreciate all the advice regarding using it for gun fit. Interesting to see that some of you don't recommend it! Always thought they were the best thing for it, shows how wrong I am! Still tempted to try one though, would still be useful I feel Found a nice piece of Steel Sheet...

    Making your own pattern plate...

Never thought of Express (assuming you mean Lyalvale), that could be a good call as I happen to be able to get it cheaper... I'll see what I can find out tomorrow!

    Making your own pattern plate...

Thanks all, appreciate the help! I would prefer a metal one as its just a one off cost and ready to use! I see you say 18 guage, which is about 1.2mm - seems very thin? Is that all that is needed? Many Thanks James

    Making your own pattern plate...

Thanks all, never thought of wallpaper! I'll think of a frame or something to easily hold it... Other possible option I've seen you can get 3mm thick cardboard which is 1.2mx1m at £40 for 40 sheets, so works out at a £1 a sheet Not cheap I suppose but I'm sure 40 sheets would last me a while...

    Making your own pattern plate...

Anybody ever done it? I've got plenty of space to put a permanent one up if needed, or one which is collapsable, whatever suits best Looking at first for gunfit, then looking at patterns afterwards...so it will be getting a fair bit of use hopefully What size should I be looking at? If making...
