Had a cracking weekend this weekend.

Travelled up to the north of the Netherlands to shoot my first Fitasc of the year.

The Shooting Centre Vulpres near Nieuwe Pakela is a cracking ground and this was my second time here as I shot there last year and they always put on some tough Fitasc targets here.

The surrounding towns and viallages are very Model like with many canals and rivers and foresty, it really is a nice area.

Plenty of wildlife in this area Deer in abundance and also plenty of wildfowl.

The Fitasc Shoot itself was two days 100 targets each day 4 layouts new system.

I was impressed the second day as they literally moved the stands on the layouts completely and changed all of the targets so a lot of effort went in to it. I was told the organizers were there until 9.30pm setting up for the Sunday.

First Day was perfect weather sun and a light breeze and the course was set perfect I think 3 medium layouts and one a little trickier.

Second Day it was like winter all over again! Blowing like crazy some rain and this made some of the targets even harder.

The prize giving was very efficient names were being read out at 4pm and all was done by 5pm and I was on my way home.

The did medal positions for Seniors, Ladies, Vet, Super Vet, Juniors and then 3 classes for cash A,B and C and down to 5th in each. Quite a few of the GB shooters got a draw in class.

Was good to see some other shooters from GB making the trip.

Germany lost to The Netherlands in the team match but I think the GB Shooters did us proud in the individual open! ;-)

Results are in the attachment and it is the very top link! Click Download takes 5 secs and all results are there.

Thanks guys after the previous weekends performance needed to try to redeem myself! Shot consistently all weekend which was good the only bad layout I had was the 20 and that was my first of the whole weekends shooting so i can't complain! Was absolutely freezing cold Sunday though! Where is the summer????

Glen.

Lets hope so!!!

Some of my good friends and fellow GB Shooters had good results in the Helice European in portugal.

Lots of Medals!

Nathan Hales - Junior European helice Champion I have heard. Overall Silver for the World Cup too.

Seniors won a team Bronze I believe.

Marcus Iddon individual silver. Chris Potter bronze in vets I think and Dionne Rodgers a Silver as well!!!

Think there was a few more but sure Nicola will write something up more accurately very soon!

probably one of the best medal hauls in Helice for a long time for GB shooters!!!

Top shooting and congrats to all!!!!

Glen.

this was 140 Euro for 200 Fitasc.

Additionally you had the option to spend 10€ each day for a Buffet Lunch eat as much as you like.

I love there formats over here!!! Get the first 50 shot then have an hour lunch and then go again.

Everyday was done early!!! On the sunday I was done at 15.30 and the prizes were being handed out by 16.15 the latest!!!

Sunday driving on the autobahns is bloody marvelous did what should be a 4hr drive in about 2.5!!! I may just have to stay here!!! ;-)

I sense a ShootClay awayday at some point - it sounds great, and well priced too...

It's basically new system but 1 layout would be three stands but they are completely new targets and traps and in a different area.

Biggest comp is the Dorhout Mees Grand Prix Fitasc and this is probably the best ground in The Netherlands. It maybe a bit close to the European though? Think it is about a month after. if you can make it then you should do it for sure I guarentee you would not be disappointed.

just had a look at the website, looks great

may have to wait until next year though
