Yes I reckon I'll be there - never been before so hopefully I'll enjoy it.

I'll be there, both days, demonstrating Iron Plate Action Shooting with CO2 pistols. /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-laugh.gif

£17.50 to go and look at guns,I don't think so.I can do it for free in local gunshops.Bah Humbug!! Vic.
With you on that one, I'm only a 40 minute drive away too. It's the same with The Lincolnshire Show, way too expensive, for me and the dorris it's £40 on the gate or £36 if we book in advance /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-surprised.gif

Agreed, If I actually wanted to splash some cash on new gear I might go but as I have all I need at the moment I shall save the pennies and go shooting instead /wp-content/forum-smileys/sf-cool.gif

went the first time and it was ok cant remember the entry feetoo far for me to go to be worth it

I found that the CLA gamefair was just a long walk for me really. If I had been on the lookout for loads of new kit, then it would have been great, but as I had all the kit I needed, it was a pleasant waste of time if I'm honest.. CSC3

Same here but at least the CLA is half the price

I reckon that a lot of these shows are pricing themselves out of existence. The CLA Game Fair is at Belvoir this year, about 45 minutes from my house and possibly the best venue and spitting distance from Orston shooting ground.I guess that the entry fee will be in excess of £30 this year and I have to ask myself,is it worth it? Vic.

I have to agree Vic, the problem with the CLA is it is so big that you really need two days there which for most of us involves hotels, B&B or camping so realistically it's a £200 touch, which is a struggle in a recession. All of these Fairs are peddling stuff that you can buy at your local shop or online so to be frank most of us only go to socialise. I mean even the clayshoots at these Fairs are costing about £18 for 40 clays. So it's a dear do.
