Why not just use your usual gun for the last shoot of the season?  I gather that lots of very good clay shooters use the same gun for everything  including game shooting.
well bebo it seems you were correct. After much discussion with a few learned friends it seems that my 10 will do the job for the day with 28g fibre 6s as long as i leave any close birds, this will give me lots of time to decide what gun to get for next game season.

Well I never, that makes a nice change.  Hope you have fun on your first game shoot and even more fun searching out your perfect game gun over the summer.  You'll have to get out and try a few on some sporting targets.

I intend to do some high tower stuff bebo might even do a propper sporting comp if I get invited to one. Meeting Westley in a few weeks to see if I can "drive" a double trigger sidecar then as you say have fun shopping for suitable game gun.

regards

haha! you must be the most indecisive person I have never met ips...

just out of interest, have you had a look at the Fausti range of side by sides?

father inlaw had an absolutely stunning 20 guage SXS single trigger. and it was less than £1k

I just like to do me research mate. No not seen them. If I go to shooting show I would like to see a few but no idea what is available single trig

There is no need to get your panties in a twist over this!  Beretta has been making single trigger SxS's for about 500 years or something like that.  IIRC the 62x series have single triggers in there (I have one) 28" bbls and cross-bolted actions.  In semi-economy mode there are also the Brownings that I don't know are called what where you are but are BSS's here.  Single trigger 26-28-30" bbls and very nicely finished (my next SxS).

Tho I have seen some nice looking AYA's I can't say about the durability of the lower line.  However if I ever come across a 53 that is priced right it may find a new home.
