It is if you want a black one, obviously the colour is a personal choice.
you get the option to add barrel weights on the Black one, I'm not sure if they come with the gun or if they are extras. You don't get the option with the "normal" version. The black version has a carbon fibre rib which has to add to the cost, whether that's worth paying for is up to you. CF is a very trendy, space age material and is used a lot in luxury products for effect and weight saving, from an Engineering point of view it is more brittle than steel so may be slightly more prone to damage.
The black and non-black both have weights in the stock which can be added or subtracted to tune the balance. If you want to add some you'll probably need to buy them.
Since you've asked the question, my personal view is that the standard 692 is overpriced for what it is and the huge extra chunk for the Black is just way over the top.
