What do you recommend that I start my 14year old on her move from 20 bore up to 12 with. Something nice & soft, for the last 6 months she has been on eley 21 gram felt.

What type & make do you guys suggest ?

Cheers

Hull Comp X 21g are awesome in every way

I agree the Hull are great. However, EVEN softer are express 21g. My wifes favourite. Work fine too. Don't pattern as tightly though. Fine, choke up a bit.

another vote for comp x 21g Mrs Fuz shoots them and has no complaints :)

24g Saga Eurotrap have great speed and low re-coil, but burn mucky.

Martin Townsend at Hollow Fosse clay shoot sells them at a good price. Mostly fibre, but can get plastic if you want.

I have used the fibres and they are ok at standard distance. Anything a bit long range, the pattern goes. Clevers advice of choking up a bit could help.

Martin shoots them through his Browning 325 with 1/4 & 1/4 and has no trouble hitting everything on his Sportrap layout.

He can be contacted on Martin Townsend - 01285 654849

express HV are decent carts too .. can get them in 21,24 or 28g and i find them soft on the shoulder … or as already mentioned comp x 21's which ever u can get local ;)
