As above:

I have a good quality, custom made stock for a 3800 Trap action sitting at home. Before I try and sell it, can anybody tell me whether it will fit the later MK38 action ?

I know that it will fit Brownings (eg 325) of a similar vintage.

Or as a last resort can it be made to fit an Mk38 action - as in, if an MK38 action is wider than a 3800 there is no chance. But if it is narrower then maybe......

Thanks in advance.

What year 3800 did it come from? The later 3800 stocks will fit straight on to mk38, the early 3800 had a long tang for trigger gaurd that is the only difference. steve

Let me know if you want to sell the stock :)

Steve,

The gun was (I sold it ages ago) quite a late one and there are NO screw holes in the trigger guard area of the stock - so I'm sure it is the short tang version.

Thanks for the help.
