OK maybe this should be in the Trap section, but here goes anyway! Has anyone ever used Gamebore shells for OT? If so which ones did you use and were they any good? I'm just curious.

Hi Les, used to use quite a lot of Gamebore Super Trench many years ago which were a very good shell and realy nice to shoot.  Would be interesting to know if it has been re-packaged under a different name.

Also Blue Diamond in the B&P case was pretty good but now priced out of contention.

Have shot a slab of gamebore black gold 24g on the trench 2 or 3 years back., I remember thinking they were very good, but were out of my budget at the time.

Had a couple of rounds with the blue diamonds, they seemed on but not amazing, could well just been me having an off day though (yet another .)

Nope never tried em .., dont like the name :)

Are they English ???

Not interested then...!

Couldn't find Allan's Super Trench, Les but you may remember some of these.

The Eley Super Trench are ounce and a quarter from a time when men were men.

There two Fiocchi Tiro 32gm, Rottweil all plastic, Gyttorp white felt wad and nickel, Eley nickel + brass [Red Shot is not so new], Eley paper Trapshooting.

When I started trap shooting the 32grm load was the norm. At that time I mainly used Winchesters or Eleys, can't remember what type they were though, but I seem to remember the Eleys were in a paper case, possibly black. As for Gyttorp, well my son just gave me 200 Gyttorp 24grm Blues I think they're called. He has had them stored in a wardrobe for six years, so will be trying them out. I still reckon some of those superfast 24grm loads are as punchy as some of the old 32grm loads.

Just a thought, you dont see many (if any) neat 8 star crimps on cartridges these days.
