Opinions on Platinum Trap please

Hi

The guy in my local gunship was raving about these, although he did seem to have quite a few so I am not sure it's the most unbiased opinion..

i would really appreciate views, currently my favourite cartridges seem to be 24g Evo and 28g White Gold

If you are into trap disciplines and think spending more than you currently are for a tighter patterning cartridge in a prettier box!

I used maybe 1000 for sporting in 8s. The average shot size in them was about an 8.5 slightly disappointingly, so I had trouble breaking longer distance teal / trap type targets that are dome/edge on.

However perhaps unsurprisingly they absolutely minced most stuff with 3/4 choke (dense pattern I guess)

Recoil is slightly thumpy, but absolutely fine for a 100 bird competition in a suitable gun.

So I suggest give them a go in 7.5, I got on with them quite well, but they are a bit dear for what they are
