Jan, the thing that you are overlooking here, is, that I said that initial applications are on hold, but that RENEWALS were being done either on line or by telephone, but either way did NOT involve a visit from a FEO. Having done the job, I failed, and still fail to see why so much time and expense is incurred by totally unnecessary visits. IF things remain the same between renewals WHY waste so much time and money. This especially applies to those forces whose Crime Commissioners are pushing for increased fees to cover the cost of issuing Licences/Certificates. After all, IF circumstances have changed and you fail to notify or declare that, the onus is entirely down to yourself, should the fertiliser and fan meet.
