Year dating a miroku

Anyone know how to date a Miroku 3800 skeet, without any date letters after the serial number. Browning /Miroku started date code letters from 1977 i believe, so would this date from before then??

If you have a look on http://www.wisnersin...tgun_start.html you might be able to find some clues, it will be in Chales Daly as they imported early Miroku guns.

I had an old 3800 and the serial # was listed in Wisners records. Salopian will have more idea than me.

Proof marks are useful too.
