As title where do you guys who are from hampshire shoot at?

As alot of places i used to go are no longer running thanks

Wiltshire :)
:haha:    He can't help it...

Speaking for myself, I tend to concentrate on registered sporting, and there aren't any in Hampshire.  Plenty in Wiltshire, Four Counties near Newbury, more as you go north.

Owls Lodge at Barton Stacey is a great place to practice, and I believe Fauldsy is going for another Saturday each month soon.  Quite a few clubs and straw balers around Hants, but not registered shoots, so I don't bother (and after today, I might not bother with registereds!!)

ya i shoot a bit at wallers ash, southdown, abby, northhall, wylye and horne.

so what are the main registered shoots you shoot at as im more interested in this?

Steveo .. You can find us at a few grounds such as

Wylye Valley

Four Counties

The shooting Club

Gun Site

Urchfont

Weston Wood

Westfield

And a few others this season

Owls lodge in the week and every second Saturday for some quality practice ;) ... I live about 400 yards from the Spitfire Shoot but hardly ever go there as its fibre wad only .

I'm also a member at Wallers Ash GC but only go every now and then just to meet up with my old mates .

Nearest club for you would be Fareham CTC .

What Robo said...

Fareham don't hold registered sporting, but they do almost every other registered discipline.

Keep your eye on the meet-ups, happy for you to join us any time, more the merrier!  (watch out for Tiptopgun though, there's always a trail of sand where he's been...!)

Hi Steve

You might want to get involved with the CPSA Hampshire Clubman Classic League which is an inter-Club League competition set over a series of 6 x 70 Bird Sporting shoots for B Class (max 4), C Class & Unclassified Shooters. If you shoot at Wallers Ash GC then have a chat with Pete, Hazel or David about joining in with them or speak to the guys at Fareham CPC as they would welcome any new shooters to their team. Try and have a chat with Andy Gorge or George Garman. The other option is to join the Southampton Arms Shooting Society who use Wallers Ash as their home ground. I'd be happy to put you in touch with their team captain Bob Dowling as they are a friendly bunch and last year's Runner Up team so will be looking to challenge the winners Owls Lodge this year!

I've listed the shoots below if you fancy it:

Fareham CPC - Sunday 21st April

Arborfield Garrison CTC - Saturday 18th May

Owls Lodge Shooting School - Saturday 8th June

The Spitfire Shoot - Saturday 20th July

Wallers Ash GC - Saturday 24th August

Meon Springs - Saturday 21st September.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Cheers

Richard
