Simply not the right word clearly, are there simple drills or techniques to try when struggling or try to return to exactly what works at your home ground ?

 
The point that is being made is that its not fixed many things will effect the hold point on the day such as weather background visibility etc. Experience will help to make the right decision at the time. Knowing the ground and the layout helps a great deal but one must be able to adapt. As 40up says its a game of compromise to a degree.

As a rule of thumb too many second barrels as you progress is too low, double misses means too high (both in front)
