Sounds like they're torics - are they to help with astigmatism?

If so these can rotate on the eye when you are into the gun or move your eyes rapidly giving the dizzy sensation.

Gas permeable, duette lenses or ortho K may help

Ed,

You are correct. .Thanks for the advice.

I'm due back at the opticians later this week for the next set,  I'll see what they suggest. My understanding is that the next lot will be 1 Day Acuvue Moist for Astigmatism.

Edit: Now I had the information from Ed, it's interesting to find there can be issues with some soft toric lenses with lens rotation like,  blur, inconsistent vision and less-than-optimal night vision.  This is exactly what I experienced.

Do the hybrid Duette lenses require specialist fitting or would any CL optician be able to supply and fit?

What sort of cost?  I suspect they will not be cheap.

The Duette fitting is rather more specialist but if you're going to an Independant Optom they probably do offer them.

They are typically six monthly replacement and can be around £250 per pair.

They only work if the astigmatism is on the cornea, not in the lens in the eye itself however.

Let us know how you get on!

Tried the Acuvue Moist but still had the same issue, blurred vision with eye movement.  They offered to get me another brand but also acknowledged the the issue may be as Ed suggested.  The Opt came over with rather glazed look when I mentioned the Duettes.  I got the impression that it was all rather 'secret stuff' .   ;)

Unfortunately, I'm not prepared to pay £250 on a single pair of contacts.  That's a huge difference in price from the starting point of daily disposals.  So glasses it will have to be. Probably Ziess Sports.  I know need to decide what tint?

Thanks for all your advice.
