One thing that I remember from shooting with my children around and others at that is, once you have had children, any child like noise immediatley attracts your attention. My ex wife was put off at a skeet shoot when she heard someone else's children making noise, our daughter was with them but the fact she picked up on it was mad as I wasn't shooting and heard nothing.

Well known fact women are attuned to the sound of children ,men are not ........therefore you did'nt hear them (ignored them )....simples !!
