I’ve a musto shooting clay jacket (skeet jacket) I’ve been in torrential rain and it’s kept the top half of me dry. Afterwards I declared it was ridiculous shooting in those conditions and have not needed that level of protection since. But nice to know it works.
I’m over in France and went to buy cartridges today from decathlon. Was told they couldn’t sell them to me because of Brexit?! Did I just get caught with an idiot or has France changed it’s rules as I’ve never had problems before.
If you are looking for a proper clay basher and aren't too worried about re-sale then I would give serious consideration to a Zoli. I have both a Beretta 686 and a Zoli Z sport. I accept that compared on new price they are wide apart (Beretta £2k v Zoli £5k) but they level of gun and quality is...
It was indeed cold but I wrapped up warm and popped some hand warmers in my overcoat. Cracking ground and cracking targets. So the scores; stubble 19, top field 20, tunnel 9 and valley 17.
I don't know what went wrong on tunnel but I royally messed it up. Gutted.
I have done one before and it has gone badly. So confidence wise I am very honest in expectations. I want to progress in the sport and I am leaning towards the thought that there's no better practise than registered targets. I think my biggest failing is that I need to keep my head in it and do...
I have the decision to make on should I shoot 100 Registered FITASC on the Saturday at Windrush or do I shoot the 50 "have a go" FITASC at Barbury on the Sunday. I can't afford the time or cost of both so it's one or the other. I am not a proficient shot but have shot FITASC previously and it is...
A note of warning. You can't put your bag with shotgun into storage at the train station. They don't have lockers anymore. Hind sight is a wonderful thing but if you wish to travel through London and do some shopping/eating whilst you wait for the train then best thing is backpack that the...
Bag turned up today. I never really checked the dims and so when it arrived I was fairly disappointed in how small it was. So whilst the gun section is great and well padded it isn't actually that secure due to it only being zips and it would be a struggle if the top section was filled. The top...
So I have a letter allowing me to carry a gun on the train. Next question what bag?
