Errr, it's Monday today............ I think.............Lovely bright autumnal Sunday morning, crystal clear, just right for shooting!
Well, there's the friends...Its easy to be negative and seemingly miserable, at least thats what it looks like on the other topic, so why don't we try and find some likes and some more positive aspects to this sport we all enjoy?
Likes? How about the look on a novices face when he breaks his first clay?
Liz,Well, there's the friends...
...who even stay your friends when you win....
...and the fabulous grounds with awesome coaches...
...and the amazing experts you can learn from who make the hardest things seem easy...
...and the really nice friends you make who turn out to be gold medallists etc and really, really good at this stuff and you'd never have guessed because they are so normal...
...absolutely completely normal, for a World Champion...
...and there's always a new kind of gun to try, from a curio like a black powder gun...
...to the gun you fall in love with and could never afford in a gazillion years...
...and then you get to turn around and share all this new found stuff with the people you love the most and watch them get really good and enjoy the sport...
...and sometimes even though you're just there for the fun you actually do quite well.
You know I just recently purchased a lovely example of the original 1979 beretta s680, which I'm using on the pheasants this season, and one of the main reasons I wanted a beretta 68 series, is because the action feels nice to open and close! Not weird Simon with you on that
