New FITASC Sporting rules for 2014

The cost difference is due to various factors:

1. FITASC Shoots are limited to the number of entries due to how fitasc is shot. ESP can have 300 plus entries on a sunday whereas fitasc would struggle with entries over the 100 mark, so a profit margin difference exists. So 90 entries at an average of £55 per 100 in fitasc versus lets say 200 ESP entries at £37, so you have £4,950 for fitasc and £7,400 for ESP.

2. Lets assume you have 15 squads of 6 shooters (so 90 shooters in total), each squad gets to see at least 100 targets as show targets, so 1,500 clays are used without being shot at, now add the 9,000 clays used in the event and you have 10,500 ish clays thrown. In ESP the number of clays thrown would be around 25,000

ESP does use more ref's generally but as you can see the difference is around £2,500 in basic terms, keep in mind I have not added any prize pool and averaged the entries, so no BO or Juniors.

Hope that helps...

Thanks Matt only just seen this , had early night last night , knackered for some reason , off to shoot fitasc today at longridge , looking forward to this

I think you have covered the important points but I will add that I tend to still use old system because personally think it is more interesting than new system so then we are really limited to 8 squads a day in winter time that's why we tend to run it on a Saturday and a Sunday

I was thinking about running a fitasc taster / practice day sometime soon if the interest is there

Main reasons I prefer Fitasc to shoot are no queuing on stands , target variety is brilliant , more of a sociable day out and it's generally reffed by refferees and not scored by Scorers

Hence it's the same rules for everyone

Great idea Steve.... we did one at Wylye a long time ago, and I got the bug from it...  would love to see more of these running, walking people through the rules and giving them a taster of the discipline.

More than happy to promote and help wherever I can with this.

We are going to see some interesting things happening.

After this week....me thinks that JFP is in a very choppy boat...!

Toodles..... xx

Me too, I definitely would be up for this…had a chat with a chap at the long range target shoot at Windrush on Thursday who was extolling the virtues of FITASC, sounds challenging but I imagine like most other forms of this sport very addictive!

I would defo be up for this!

I will have a look at diary on Monday and try to sort something out , practice on the valley at Westfield Matt , there's a thought

The failure of the sporting sub-committee does not really mean anything because only the Bictsf directors have the votes needed to change anything ....so if you want to make a difference at all you have to stand for the Bictsf board.

(All sub-committees are the 'ant workers' and no matter what they decide....it does not influence the board as such....unless the board like the ideas brought forward.....true story).

As for JFP....we see what happens after the October meeting......phew...!!!

It will not interest people here as 'they just want to shoot' and no one has really understood the information already post on here for the UT.

The concept...All for one and one for all.....is not really understood in the UK......but don't worry....Europe is on it

....just saying.....from Madrid.....in the money....and in the Silver

Well done at the shooting Nicola but no idea what the first bit of your post is on about....have you been on the gin already....

Sorry whats this got to do with the new rules of fitasc? (haha well done Nic, wish I had been there, the bar bit!!)

Haha sorry off track.... but is has been another great day.... 275 euros win on the pool shoot and 185 euros in Madrid Casino with my crazy Egyptian brothers ...

Home tomorrow and will be back on Internet .....watch out .....I have some other interesting things to post (politics....sorry)
