the rifle version is easier of course  but I get by with the pistol

I'm still using a Catapult with grape shot, Well, where theres one rat there's usually a bunch of them!

some of us have natural hunting and shooting skills that allow us to hit big targets like rats,i just bait them with something tasty and when shot leave the corpse in lace it seems to attract others no problem once you practice, the rifle version is easier of course  but I get by with the pistol

I must say that shooting rats with co2 pistols of a bird feeder has always been the true measure of a natural sportsman and “hunter”

The landed gentry in the U.K. were often known to abandon a days driven game shooting if a rat was seen as it was considered far more challenging and sporting.

These chaps would have scent hounds accompany them on driven days and carry a Webley air pistol just in case.

Hence the saying “I smell a rat”
