It astounds me that one person living a kilometer away can put a whole business in jeopardy,  the shooting ground has been there for years the complainant moved in some...

    First gun

The problem with using  20 gauge for clay shooting is the cost of cartridges, much dearer than  12s and if you are using a 28grm load not a lot of difference in recoil. As ips says, better of using lighter load 12 gauge cartridge.  20 bore are great if you are carrying it round a game shoot all...

    Turkish Shotguns (Kral Arms)?

Hi welcome to the addictive sport.  As above, stay away from the cheap Turkish guns if at all possible. Owning a nice gun is a thing of beauty so find a nice second hand one, you don't have to spend a shed load of money. Don't know where you are based but Purbeck Shooting School have a decent...

    Plastic v Fibre

Hi all, I own a two year old Browning 525 with modern back bored barrels. I get reasonably consistent, if not high scores using Eley Olympic Blue plastic wad cartridges. I have been told that modern back bored guns perform better using plastic wad. The next couple of weekends I am shooting at...

Top 3 Dos and Don'ts for beginners

I tried a few guns before I got my ticket at the beginning of June this year. I then decided that a Browning suited me, bit chunkier in the action. I brought a preowned 525 sporter and love it. Since I've owned it I have tried a few other guns but nothing feels like my 525. I will be sticking...
