So having done both Fitasc Sporting and Trap.....I think I am allowed to give a subjective opinion.

What are you at the minute James.....C Class? I know i am only B Class and do not really shoot it anymore and so i appreciate your advice on trying to shoot 60yd birds as crossers

Now why don't you try an experiment......how about you going shooting OT

It would be interesting to hear your opinion after trying it.....

Nicola, I'm flattered you take the time to follow my classifications!!! I didn't know you cared...I thought it was only polite to return the fovour and check out your classifications...and eh, bad news for you...you are C class FITASC sporting. True story, just saying...

Here's a like to your scores just in case you don't believe me, https://www.cpsa.co.uk/classifications/member/45/EE/89683

I must say though, for a lady of your age, some of your scores are not bad, classifications are lower than I expected from a sponsored shooter but I guess your Helice scores must be awsome!!! They are not listed on the cpsa, (i know why, proper fitasc) but it must be your Helice scores Fiocchi sponsor you for... ;)

If I'm ever in need of a 60yd crosser lesson can I call you for some coaching?

If sporting and fitasc sporting were not availible to shoot, I dare say I'd shoot some more trap...god forbid!!! :)

Edit .....nice to know you shoot like a girl though.....C class  you sound much better than that..!

Steve, you can't say things like that about a lady!!! I'm Nicola would be mortified at the thought of shareing a room with a mere peasant farmer!!!! What would the judge say!!!

:fie:  Podimore news!  Apparently a shooter turned up at Podimore for practice on Sunday to find it closed and a notice on the gate said closed due to a planning restriction probem?   just gossip.

Even if true, that could relate to number of days use, rather than a full time problem?

F ) No you are too far ...but if in doubt just stick shed loads of lead on when you have found the line.....that is £70 please...no Paypal.

G ) I would give you a free lesson at trap to get you started out right. (P.s. No one tell him that you shoot trap targets sometime from trap layouts abroad during FITASC GP's or Worlds or Europeans....it would unsettle him)

F) That answer explains alot about your scores...scrap the 'lesson' thats just what I'd expect from a 'coach' that can't shoot..

G) Going by many of your scores, a lesson on trap from you, even for free, would be detrimental to my shooting, but thanks anyway ;)

(p.p.s.they shoot FITASC sporting from trap layouts in this country too!!! Not in the least unsetteling...)

A)Oh dear.... And I thought that might have calmed the Tartan Warrior ....a bit of 'shooting humour' which went straight over the head.

B)We so let's look at the facts .....you are C and I am C at Fitasc sporting ....so as crap as each other.

C)I shoot several other disciplines to keep me amused whilst in the UK .....you shoot 2 for real....oooops :laugh

D)I was being kind with your request for coaching...
A) That's as close as you can get to 'humor'...WOW, epic fail!!!

B)No, no, no...you are be far more crap than me!!!

C)@badly!!! :0

D)I was being kind by humouring you...;)

Does she tickle your tummy when you roll over and beg Phil?

What as this all got to do with Podimore?

Podimore was a selection shoot where a chap who has only ever shot very well all his life, borrowed my Guerini and went and demonstrated his considerable talent. It's over, finished, done, concluded. Get a life and move on , look forward to the next selection shoot and determine to do better.

Back to Podimore....

Sporting should be a discipline of variety, this means all types of target (Rabbit, Battue, Chondelle, Rocket, Midi, Mini and standard) and these should be launched in a variety of different ways. Southdown had a below your feet crossing battue, never seen that before and took some killing. Putting lots of edge on crossing or quartering away targets just shows a lack of imagination and the course setter is being lazy IMO.

It's this variety that, IMO, has made Westfield, Weston Wood, Barrow Heath etc very popular with shooters, you know you are going to get almost every type of target and launched in a variety of ways.

A couple of points, 1. 40% of specialist clays may be used the other 60% are standards!

2. Chondelle is spelt Chandelle as its French but pronounced chondelle    JUST SAYING!
