Hi All,

One of the screws holding my Jones adjuster on keeps working slightly lose. I know I could drill, then glue a dowel in but don't want to get into that right now.

I'm thinking of using a couple of drops of low strength threadlock (the one you can undo with hand tools) any other suggestions?

I can't use a bigger screw as the CSK head of the next size up would protrude and stop the Jones plate moving.

Cheers,

Jon.

Stick a couple of match sticks in the hole and screw it in again.

That is an old joiners trick and the easiest.

Permanent solution can be Araldite in the hole and the thread would have a perfect mould to screw into.

Or a longer screw with the same size head another option.

Jon you can get furniture dowels from Screwfix, get a bag of these, drill down the screw hole and glue one of the dowels in with the white PVA glue and then just screw the Jones adjuster back on.

Just read you OP, doh, it's your best option mate and won't take you any longer than the quick fixes!!!!!!!
