It looks like the drum roll for banning lead is getting louder by the day. Steel seems to be the best viable alternative- and as a bonus iron is cheaper than lead so the price of cartridges should come down. Does anyone have any experience with it?

And if so, shouldn't prices be down?

I see Gamebore have a 26g cartridge.  I usually use the standard 28g cartridge - has anyone tried the 26g?  Is there any marked difference?  Sure, it'll have less shot :)   But other than that - are the characteristics such as felt recoil the same...

This is what RFD told me, so I bought a bit more than than usual. Apparently because of the fall in sterling.  Last time it was due to the lead price.  When lead went down, the price didn't follow.  Neither when the price of oil plummeted.   Funny that. Vote with your wallet.

Anyone going?  I'll probably be there earlyish.  I know it isn't necessary to be in a squad as the members shoot is trapped and scored like a registered shoot, but I'd be happy to do the rounds with fellow SC members.

I want to renew, but at the two member rate.  Last year they renewed me at the dual rate without another number renewing at the same time, but this year they will not for some reason.   I'd like to do it before the members shoot on the 20th.
