Had a nice outing to Thimbleby on Saturday with my youngest lad (17). Approx 6 months since he last came out but as usual from the first clay he shoots great. Can’t imagine how good he might be if he was actually interested and used a left handed gun, im right. 100 around Spennymoor on Sunday...
A windy day in the North East and was a bit cold. Excuses excuses, 59-100 and the positive was that I beat my 2 partners. Course had quite a different feel to it with a lot of significant changes, much more difficult generally but very much wind affected. Never mind, until next time.
I bought the Laksen interchangeable glasses in a sale for £260 ish. Lenses are nice and clear and they're light as a feather. I like the style and the fact I get 5 lenses as standard though I'm not so sure on the longevity of them, time will tell.
I'm looking at this release trigger thing and struggling to understand why you would want this?
What makes this a better option than pulling a trigger?
Lovely day for shooting in the NorthEast today so 100 sporting it was. A lot of small changes to last week made it quite a challenging shoot at times and a couple of targets that were simply just too tough for me. Never mind, reasonably happy with a 75 but definitely a few left out there.
Started on the toughest stands today and in some pretty strong wind. 10 high Pheasants. First one driven over head which possibly came as close as 30 metres. Second one slightly quicker and quartering away a bit, 4-10. Next stand even worse, an extremely quick crosser at 30ish metres followed by...
Not so good today following 2 weeks away due to the inclement weather.
37/50 on sporting and to be fair, it wasn't a terrible days shooting. There were a few that I'd usually be hitting but otherwise, OK. A really poor effort on skeet but in fairness, the heavens opened as we started to shoot...
41/50 on sporting today including straighting the high Pheasant. Dropped most on overhead driven clays which isn’t usually a big problem for me. Still happy as in the 40’s again so the improvements seam to be staying with me.
Enjoyed the video Lloyd, thanks.
It’s good to hear Beretta are now looking to do a black edition 694 but using the Zombie green line on all black editions, feels like that may limit sales. I called at Bywell as was considering buying one but it really hits you in the face. Not sure if it’s the...
