Interesting !!.... All of my refs are issued with 2 way radios BUT are turned off exactly for this reason & others .... The ref only turns it on when he has to use it, therefore showing respect to each competitor & keeping distractions & unwanted background interference to a minimum ...

Maybe your ill informed but any hosting ground has a tender process, having to factor in price increases for 18 momths in advance for clays, staff, refs, etc..this is the process for regional, national & international events. For the masses its not about winning, its about the taking part &...

After spending 2 days at EJC shooting the WESP event, this is a prime reason IMHO why averages have no place in any Sporting discipline !! Averages are fine for the fixed disciplines of Skeet & Trap BUT not in sporting.....How many shooters have shot below their precious averages & blame...

I would say that any interruption, trap breakdown or not... the shooter is entitled to see a pair of targets, maybe in previous rules this was mentioned BUT as a ground owner, a competition shooter & a qualified ref, its all about exercising common sense & doing the right thing for all...

I think you have answered yourself with the question.... "REGISTERED SHOOTS" If the cost is the issue, then surely a non registered ground, club, etc will be cheaper ? I know of a club that is £32/100 sporting clays. 10 stands of 10 pairs.... lots of trap issues & broken clays & score...

Hi Peter, If you check you FB message i have replied to your message that you sent me earlier today. All of my ESP Reg shoots have a ref on each stand to enable solo shooters or groups. Thanks Phil

Where else in the uk can hold & stage such a festival of shooting ?  100 Sportrap, 100 FITASC, 100 Prelim ESP & 200 ESP Main event !! Yes, other venues staged the world 200 target main event BUT not the other side events & def not over 6 days. The costs, man power & logistics...

Cambridge GC Ltd was for sale pre-covid.... asking price of £2million plus... Fair enough, the Earth banks could be turned into better assets for the ground tho.
