Did the same with my 686, but got the forend second hand, it was a pretty good match and still have the original to swop back.

Not too keen on Beretta's slim forends on a lot of their shotguns.

Beretta's not used now and I will sell it on, the CG I have now suits me much better

Did my first registered on Sunday with the 694 (only the second time I’d shot it) at Garlands set up by Steve Lovatt. It is very easy to drive, recoil is smooth and it behaved impeccably. Went around with 3/8 and 5/8 and finished on 86. I might swap the pad over for the slightly longer one that came with it....just feels a tad short for me. I’d strongly recommend trying one if you can. Just beware if you do buy one everyone will spot it and want to try it....mine did about 150 shots on the 100 layout!

I got a 694 this week from Premier guns. I been years with my Mk38 gd5 and 525 before that. Its not as touchy feely or cosmetic as the mk38 but it is lovely to shoot. Sometime my mk felt like a plank and I shot like one on those days too. So far, and I've only shot 200 through the 694 at kibworth,  it's great, and I'm settling into it nicely I like it a lot. I don't think its as well made as I hoped, and definitely not as well as the 525 Pro sport which is a lot cheaper too.Howevert it balances and fits well and so far the scores are good which, with a new gun I'm pleased with.
