Yes ME was probably worse than Celeron processors which I also avoided like the plague

Ah no - nothing wrong with the Celeron - low powered, but ideal for the new breed of laptops around at the time.

If you want a really bad processor - you should probably reference the Pentium P5 with its floating point errors - that was a beauty.
