Rowley Gun Club - Croxton, Staffs

Does anybody know if this place is still going and if it's still members only ? It was fully subscribed a few years ago with places like hens teeth.  I really used to enjoy it there and haven't been in ages but it would suit me great for a Sunday morning round of clays. TIA Matt

Sporting Clays and Game - Tightening up ????

Folks, Apologies first for another choke question! I am not a choke twiddler and have Teague 3/8`s in both my barrels for all my clay shooting and the bit of game shooting that I do. How ever I think some of the more rangy stuff I may be missing out on a few kills and breaks with pattern...

Driven targets - Allowed to turn in the cage ?

Folks as a none comp shooter I am not sure on the official stance with driven targets..... Are you allowed to turn in the cage and shoot the target as a crosser? Last night I was on a stand where first bird was a high quartering right to left, second bird was a fairly straight over head driven...

    DTL minimum cartridge requirements

Folks, I know zero about trap. But I now have a requirement to get educated. Not for me, for the wife. So what's the softest/lightest cartridges realistically you can use for DTL ? Is 21gram viable or hull compx 21/24 gram ? Am thinking compx may be too slow regardless of the payloads ?

Is success possible on a small budget?

Guys, I know it’s not a straight forward question but, to an extent is the key to improvement fundamentally a big wallet? I ask as I am trying to keep my enjoyment in clay shooting but so much for me is financial restriction, time I have, but simple things like I wear glasses and have just...

Cartridge recommendation for a 60-65% guy!

Am shooting just once or twice a month on either a 50 or 100 bird layout, so my scores typically are 60-65%. I know I won't improve much without more shooting/practise but funds and time don't allow. I currently use Eley Olympics 7.5 plas wad! But am curious about a "upgrade" of cartridge...
