That's good news :-)  I have a 687 SP III that I bought as my first gun about three years ago.  I paid £1,000 for it and it still looks like new.  Even though I have no plans to sell, it's nice to know that it is holding its value.

I use a pair that I bought form my local Clarks shoe shop.  They cost me £30.  They are not 'branded' but are well made, have good grip, clean up easily and look exactly the same as £200 boots when covered in mud.  

I'm a lefty.  I originally shot with a RH Beretta 687 SPIII.  I now have a LH Browning 725 Sport.  The browning feels much more natural to shoulder.  I had no issues with the Beretta when originally using it but probably just didn't know any better.  I think that you just compensate for it...

The issue will come once you really get into it and don't want to shoot just at Bisley.  If you are really serious about taking the sport up then you will need to store your gun at home.  There isn't an alternative without severe restrictions on where and when you shoot.     

You are not alone.  I only score 10 - 15 on a 50 bird round and have been shooting for over a year.  A couple of lessons early on helped but my most recent outing with an instructor didn't see any improvement.  I guess that my hope is that one day it will just 'click' and I will get better.
