Shot Thursday with dad. Simply the best set of targets I have shot in my 2 & a half years...great effort! Well done Steve and Ally! Astonishing effort from Mark Winser to shoot a 144 on that course, even better in my opinion than the 98 in the English at Southdown.

Last year parking wasn't a problem. The Estate's driveways took you to a well grassed field...obviously if there is a July monsoon then things could get interesting!

I thought this was a good first effort. I arrived at 12ish and shot round in around an hour, though there did seem to be some bigger groups clogging up some stands, there were plenty of empty ones. I thought the targets were pretty well balanced with most of the standard presentation variations...

Ed, what gap do you reckon you saw on the C bird in the compak element of the RBSS final? I try not to think of measured lead distances, but I think that that bird was around as big a gap as I have shot in competition (obviously way less than Dubai). In playtime at OLSS I have shot greater gaps...

Old system...we had perfect shooting conditions today, so wouldn't like to shoot it in the wind. I think that the course as a whole was absolutely perfect in terms of difficulty on the day. Very very few gimmees and lots of singles which indicates the overall target difficulty. Ground looking...

I'm in the good balance camp...but I'm not sure how edge on's are unavoidable. Steve puts on dozens of stands a month that show very little edge, have loads of spring, need plenty of leeeeeed....and don't need to be edge on to provide a stern test! I see edge on targets as providing variation...
