I took the whole gun out and brought back my old stock in my luggage.  I'll PM you with the costs of a stock if you are interested rather than post them here.  But I am very happy with it

Peli do good foam.  I have it in my case and it cuts well with an electric kitchen knife.  It is very sturdy and doesn't compress much

Thanks for the advice Tinker Bell.  I had my Italian colleague speak to Essevierre but they were still reluctant to say "bring your gun" and offered to get a DT11 in for me.   But after everyone's helpful comments I will still take it (along with the proof that I have already paid :) )
