I see on Facebook that Kevin Newton is back at SC and offering sporting practice and coaching.

Who's Kevin Newton?

Kevin is the former Ground Manager at SC and he is indeed back. I've just spoken to him and he has re-opened the ground under the name Dorset Shooting School for sporting practice and lessons only.

I didn't think the whole ground had closed. Just the trap fields  and for competition. 

From memory there were quite substantial sproting layouts located behind the Cart track. A bit of a walk away from the trap layouts.
