A funny thing happened at the Ground yesterday !

I witnessed an older gent using a semi on a cold day. He kept putting the butt of the gun on his foot and then wrapped his hands around the "warm" barrel to warm his fingers -with the end of the barrel pointing directly at his chin-no safety flag inserted. I politely suggested he doesn't do...

    Time for a treat

Need to shot with a few other guns first - but if I go 694 will definitely be interested - can you send me through some pictures? thanks

    Time for a treat

After a round of 100 last week tried a 694 - the moment I mounted in the shop - felt great- better than my 525. Only had time to shoot 12 bin end cartridges from my boot through it - didn't miss! I will take out the shop demo for a full round next time I shoot.

    Time for a treat

Begs the question, where do I go to buy a gun that I know will be properly fitted correctly and I can shoot at the grounds rather than as Will says point at the shop clock? When I buy golf clubs they are fitted to my swing speed, loft, height, lie, grip size and all sorts of other things -the...

Anyone shoot at Barbury or coleys?

Likewise pux / mnagpal26 (or anyone else!) I'm often at Barbury if you need a shooting companion, I'll see if I can make it, my pref is 0900 bacon bap/coffee then shoot, I normally get away by 11:15.

    Time for a treat

Thanks for all of your suggestions and feedback-it’s really appreciated. As Will points out a question that is open ended. I agree with Pux that my 525 is purely functional, I don’t have that “polishing my rare sports car” feeling when I’m cleaning it. To answer Will’s question...

    Time for a treat

Currently have browning 525, am considering upgrading to treat myself after 10 years. Nothing wrong with the gun, just fancy a change. Any suggestions for next gun (I know this is a can of worms, and I need to shoot with a few and have a proper gun fitting), but would be good to hear of your...

    Adjustable Comb: Feels like home??

Where should the gun balance? Is there a point where I should use as a fulcrum? Or is it down to “feel” when mounting the gun. I’ve never modified the balance of my gun (rightly or wrongly).

    Oxford Gun Company Issue

I don’t live locally to OGC so am an infrequent visitor. I have bought a gun from OGC, I have sold a gun to OGC. I have shot at OGC. I have bought shooting clothing from OGC all over a 20 year period. On each occasion all the staff including all the Florent family have been super helpful, super...

    Shooting vest suggestion

My shooting vest of 20 years is on its last legs. It has a lovely pencil store hole on the left chest, and a handy credit card sized slot to hold a claymate card. Im a creature of habit so want to keep the same features. I’m looking for a replacement, but no modern offering seems to have the...

    Sweaty head

Currently wear Peltor Sport-tac which I like. However as the weather is warming up I find the sides of my head becoming slightly sweaty around the “plastic” ear cup pads. Do Peltor sell replacement breathable ear cups-made from something other than non breathable plastic? thanks
