Sorry I meant that any light going thru that red bead of yours was filtered by your polarised glasses. Making it appear black.

For your black bead, it's very likely the effect of the angle of the light in interfering with the polarising filter on your glasses. 

That's exactly what I was trying to say, with loads of numbers added to make it look I'm clever :-)

My entire point is that they are lowest recoil *including 24g* carts...

As far as recoil goes, a while back i tried pretty much anything 24g I could get my hands on, and I never found any of these with less recoil than my 28g CompX fiber. I tried (again) TT1s 24g over the week-end and sure enough, still kickier than the old compx. So there is more to recoil than...

Accidentally buying cars is pretty much normal really, I see nothing wrong with that. It's like the odd shotgun. I shot Flighline 80 birds this morning. It was a bit so-so, quite a few stands with just one trap, which I find a bit boring. And at least 3 or 4 were of the 'DTL grade' sort of...

I bought a slab of "superbs" in a "luxury" case at Wiltshires Rods&guns the other week (under their own branding/boxes), and I was very pleased with them. A bit kicker than my compx, but they were making very nice dustballs in my backbored barrels. I would try them again, given a chance.

What I like about JC is that they have 'unusual' things. I buy the 2"3/4 inch 34g steel load I shoot at ducks/geese from them (RC3) and I can't find them anywhere else. They have a HUGE range of stuff, onsite. I thought their previous 'shed' was a lot of fun, but the new warehouse is scarily...

Nice to see you today @Will Hewland and @Hamster -- I did OK on the first part, then we had a break to walk the pup and I wasn't so 'hot' on the second part somehow. Since it's my first sporting in nearly a year -- with a broken toe (got I LOVED climbing that hill!), I can't complain too much...

I shot the Perazzi on friday; it was VERY windy and some of the targets were a bit out of my league. Definitely didn't like the MIDI's in general, and the ones on the green course in particular.  Appart from the wind and the occasional shower, it went well, some of the targets were really nice...

I've finally registered with the CPSA, whoohoo. I did it so I could shoot the FITASC at the World Champ at Churchill - which I did. Never realised it would actually take the whole *day* to shoot 100 carts, it was hot, I was bored out of my mind and quite frankly more or less gave up the last set...
