@Westward , you could be right. The magnus is all the gun I need. Patterns well, copes with recoil well. The only thing I hate is the sharp bit on the forend and have to wear a glove.  The forend on the 694 is a work of art in my eyes

It is a pretty descent fit for me. If I close my eyes and mount the gun then open them again I'm more or less in line with the rib.
