It does depend on where you'll be shooting. Some grounds like Ian Coley's have proper pathways so you can wear any shoes that take your fancy. Not naming names but some popular grounds are rather more (cough) rural and can be sticky under the trees for some days after the rain stops.

Nothing beats waiting to shoot whilst standing in a shivering queue in a muddy field on a damp, misty, winter day. We even pay our hard earned to do it... 🤣

I live in aldi walking boots, £19.99 a pair and last me about 2 years, what's not to like 👍
Purchased the leather ones, wish I had purchased two at the time, most comfortable boots I have worn straight out of the box.

Can't seem to get the leather ones now though, it's all Gore-Tex
