Hello all, used to shoot 20 years ago and just came back to it a couple of months ago.

Loving it so far and spending the time to really try to improve but I'm struggling with high birds off a "cherry picker"

I'd estimate the traps are 30 metres high and around 20 metres in front of us presenting a high, quick crossing bird. It's all fully visible but I'm having a hard time getting onto these clays.

Any tips on how or what to do?

very difficult to say without seeing it, best advice I can give is to have a lesson with a coach on that target or failing that just keep practicing and trying different things until you work it out

The list of possible reasons for not hitting them is long. It’s also not worth listing them as without seeing you it could confuse you more.   That’s the “joy” of working it out for yourself, just try everything. A decent shooter will see if you’re doing anything really daft, if there is one around.
