please read this. the idiots in the EU want to redo the laws for deactivated guns etc, this is ultimately going to end with civvy gun ownership banned in a few years too,. its a kneejerk reaction to paris, and terrorism in general.it will affect thousands of people`s jobs all over europe, not just uk. for many its a hobby, and it was a living for me, as i am an (now retired) film and tv armourer, many dealers in replicas and deac`s will go out of business , and who wants to make movies in europe without access to blank firing weaponry , or do re-enactments, etc ? this will not help at all for anti- terrorism, but is again targeting the law abiding .

please go to the website of  "deactivated firearms association," they have a lot of info. ( i cannot copy/paste !)

please don`t ignore this, anything to do with firearms should be of importance to us all.

As usual, all this legislation will do is restrict the law abiding citizen or ban them completely from holding what are relatively harmless items (Unless you get one thrown at you of course!)

And, as usual, the criminal element and terrorist will not have their ability to access the real deal curbed one iota.

Splendid! I expect there are several people sitting in offices right now, patting themselves on the back in the knowledge they have "saved" us all???

WTF is happening to this World??? Beats me!

yes mate , thanks,  i am in South Africa, so not allowed to do a lot on UK web,,, including do the lotto ! dammit ! i will be back briefly in february.so i can then sign a petition,, for what good it will do.!

i can add to info available, the one part of this EU law amendment is the excuse that the AK¬`s used were legal blank firing guns for the film industry, obtained from a dodgy Slovakia dealer. then converted to fire live ammo. bullsh*t story, as many will know ,the only mod is a blank restricter,as supplied on all military weapons . it has to be fully operational for obvious reasons. what this has to do with british law i have no idea, as usual, the law abiding will suffer.

that is you and I,!!!

I believe BASC are running a campaign against it if you head over to their website for further details

also there is a petition on Change.org running which may be worth sticking your name down on nearly 280,000 have signed already

https://www.change.org/p/council-of-...-gun-ownership

by the way this isn't just deactivated guns this law could effect, it effects semi auto guns mostly rifles but could include shotguns ultimately so is defo worth speaking out against imo
