Well this has fuelled my intrigue even more! now apart from wanting to know WHY they are different threads I now have to find out WHAT the  thread size is 😂 From an historical point of view view I would have assumed Whitworth as it has a coarser thread form time to dig out the screw pitch...

I 'inherited' a 36 year old 28" B125 in November . It instantly put 10 on to my average score, repeated twice weekly. Today I took out my S1 30" B725 that has been sulking in the gun cabinet. Got same scores as with the B125!     Which I suppose proves that it is ME and not the gun just saying
