    Choking for a newbie?

You say so now, but I suspect you might change your mind later.  I don't necessarily mean that you'll become a serious DTL or skeet shooter, but those other sports are fun in their own right every once in a while. I also think having multi chokes on your only gun is a smart idea.  If you don't...

    Zeroing bags

I would install the bipod and use a small sandbag to support the rear of the stock.  Go prone on solid ground or use a bench.  Once the rifle is zeroed, it doesn't matter if you use other means of support out in the field.

    Setting up a rifle scope

You probably know this already if you've watched the video, but that "advice" you read somewhere is nowhere near correct.

    Setting up a rifle scope

I recommend watching this from beginning to end.  It will probably answer all of your questions. https://youtu.be/COoXVpGfXQE

    My new toy.

That depends on the alterations, IMO. Adding a stock that fits only you devalues the gun because it most likely will fit no one else. Adding an adjustable comb will most likely enhance the value since now it's more versatile. Lightly opening such tight chokes to 1/2 and 3/4 or 1/4 and 1/2...

Agree. I can offer help but more detail is needed.  Focus the question, please.

World Festival of Shooting - Scores

Sian brings up an interesting question that's been in the back of my mind.  How exactly does the CPSA classify non-British shooters? Do they take the shooter's home country classification and apply it straight across to the CPSA equivalent?  Do they ask for a number of the shooter's latest...

    Kent Elite?

I've tried them here in the US.  Decided to shoot a warmup round of 5 stand at the last minute and needed an extra box so I picked one of those from the sales counter.  I forget what I paid but I think it was $6.50 (mid range for target loads in the States).  Didn't do any better than the Estate...

World Festival of Shooting - Scores

I am not surprised I'd like to see some of our boys have a go at something cool like the Stratstone Ultimate 1 (is RBSS still putting that on?). I bet Land Rover can arrange delivery of a US-spec vehicle to its new owner.

I'm sorry you had a poor experience with your gun.  Owners that I know personally love theirs.

    zoli z ejector saga

Whether your ejectors are MIM or not I can't say. But let's assume they are.  If they are designed properly, made from a suitable steel, and heat treated properly, there's little reason why they should not last as long as an ejector made of wrought steel. Zoli is known in the US for having an...

    Behind The Break Podcast

I think some here might find it interesting and entertaining (I do).  Recent interviews with Will Hinton and Richard Faulds are actually quite good. Some of the earlier 'casts may have too many Yank references and too much Southern slang for British ears but still, shooters are shooters. I...

World Festival of Shooting - Scores

So far no really good videos of the shooting on youtube. Can't wait until Nicolas Berry and the guys who run englishsportingclays.com post some up. Theirs are probably the best clay shooting vids on youtube at the moment.

World Festival of Shooting - Scores

2019's World Sporting will be at Northbrook Sports Club in northern Illinois.  I would not expect any respite over target difficulty based on that club's reputation and the fact that a world championship should test the best.

World Festival of Shooting - Scores

I guess it all depends on what one wants out of this sport. Some people go to a state/national/world championship fully expecting and wanting to be challenged and tested.  Most likely that means that the score won't be what it usually is, but with that should come the realization that one's...
