Arrived back from tadcaster yesterday, had my best shoot so far on Saturday, did two 50 bird rounds, simulated game at stutton ,  21/50 then 26/50, just under 50% which I was really pleased with, was a great day all round, good company and made very welcome for my first time there.

I know exactly what you are saying and agree totally, I haven't been at it very long but I have already decided what gun I am going to use ""every time I shoot"" it's nothing fancy just a Lanber sporter 30", and it fits me like a glove, I am using cartridges from the grounds that I go shooting...

Yes your right there, he does struggle with longer barrels and I've actually seen him get really good results on the high towers with his skeet gun.atb. I thought it was myself, and your right the ground does have quite a lot of close /quick targets.atb.

I have a mate who shoots sporting two or three times a week at his local ground, he relates to himself as a snap shooter due to how early he takes the clays,he always shoots with his 26" barrel o/u skeet gun, I must admit he does really Well and consistently finishes in the top three, however...

I am left handed and right eye dominant, would I benefit from an adjustable but pad, if set up properly will it be helpful or be something that is more of a hinderance .

Thanks timps I reckon your advice is bang on the button, I feel that with the 30" everything seems smoother and appears to be slightly slower ( possibly my imagination), but it definitely feels right.

Thanks for that, it's exactly what I tried to concentrate on today and as I said earlier I was really pleased with the results, practice makes perfect so I'll get to the shooting grounds as often as I can.
