Some of us have to work occasionally ? Glen has them as I thought he'd see you at Churchills but he didn't. He'll be at AGL too so keep an eye out for us.

    Diet / nutrition advice

I shoot better if I eat a fry up first! If I skip breakfast I often shoot well below average....  Just stay over weight and enjoy your shooting Will ?

    ICTSF World Sporting

I shot blue today and finished on 80 which I felt was 5 light for me but I was still happy after looking at the scores! Red looks a tad easier by the scores but we'll see tomorrow!

    Lyalvale Express - Factory Visit

It is an real eye opener to see how much work goes into producing quality cartridges!

    Local Clubs..

Unfortunately most (not all) of these small clubs have the know it alls and lads who think they are George Digweed because they can hit 56 x 60 on a Sunday morning. I do still go to a couple on the odd occasion! But the amount of times I've had a gun pointed at me while visiting these paces is...

Do you use the same cartridge for everything?

I use a mid price cartridge (Power Gold) for 90% of my shooting now and then top of the range 6.5s for the rest. He uses Supreme Comp 8's and 6.5s.

It was one of my better days......

Sporting shoots. Where - and how did it go?

I was I the first squad out at Southdown for the Benelli Sp'Auto shoot. Everything was going great until a motor seized in the teal trap on stand 7 I think (1/4 in rabbit, teal, close floppy thing) So this meant a full trap change which was done as quick as possible, but still took best part...

Sporting shoots. Where - and how did it go?

I read your post after posting my reply. I guess that's the issue with having a similar name to someone else. All the S Clarke's gets confusing....

Sporting shoots. Where - and how did it go?

74 I was informed, but I don't think it was the P Simpson everyone thinks

Do you use the same cartridge for everything?

    Southdown Grand Masters Prizes

I'd definitely report this to CPSA and attach the full convocation with the ground owners. I've always been a fan of Southdown and regularly shoot there, but that's simply not acceptable! I was well out of the prizes but kept looking to find a prize break down as £30,000 seemed a lot when...

    Cartridge prices dropping?

I've just seen English Sporters drop down to £172 and the supplier has 50k

    World English Sporting

Couldn't agree more! The highest score round the course should win simple! As you say, unless you need a shoot off as more than one have all shot the same score. I still feel for Richard Bunning who shot a brilliant 117 at the English Open at High Lodge which was the outright high score! Then...

Questions regarding plastic and fibre wads

I don't really shoot fibre at all to be honest, but I have shot a few power gold fibre and thought they were good. But personally prefer World Cup fibre (although they aren't everyone's cup of tea)

Questions regarding plastic and fibre wads

If you're purchasing from Southdown's shop, try the power gold 8's in plastic wad. They are one of the smoothest cartridges out there! Lovely to shoot and the kills they produce are awesome!

Questions regarding plastic and fibre wads

I prefer plastic wads purely because they are some much smoother to shoot. When I'm forced to use fibre my kills are no different to using plastic.  Just personal preference
