694 here with 5-10k rounds, it should ease up a little. Have you tried adjusting the trigger position forward ? I found that helped as well

I thought with the current climate of ever increasing costs of cartridges it would be an idea to create a thread for the cheapest 24g/28g clay cartridges currently on the market within your area/travels. I fear unless we keep discussing and highlighting the most competitive cartridge prices...

I shoot 1/4 & 1/4 in my 694 which seems to break any target when the shot is in the right place. The only thing i change for long range birds is my cartridges
