    Leather gun slip

I had my Croots zip replaced and also they lengthened the gunslip by adding an extension piece to the end to make it more comfortable for the gun since I fitted extended chokes and it cost about £90, I left it with them at the Game Fair last year.

    Blaser Chokes

I use Mullers in my F16, but they do put 2" on the barrel length. This made me have to send my gun slip back to Croots to have it lengthened too.  The breaks I get with a U0 and U1 make anything tighter seem totally unnecessary.

    Full choke

An interesting table, do cartridge brand and shot size make a difference or is that table pretty much a given? Tim

    CLEAVER

And even further away are Ian Coleys who also sell Clever.  I don't think Garlands still stock them though, when I was there in March they were running down the stock and it wasn't going to be replaced (so they said).  The only other place I've got them is Greenfields but as you say both are an...

    British Open - High Lodge

I shot this on Thursday and did very badly with it being my lowest score ever in this type of competition, I found it very difficult with barely 3 stands with 'gimmees' for a c class shooter. As for attendance, when I looked on the website to remind myself of my start time there wasn't one...

What did you do today that’s shooting related?

On Wednesday I picked up my gun from High Lodge after it was serviced at Mulliners.  I'll use it tomorrow for an All Round comp.

    Choosing a fibre cartridge

Sian, you could try Pro Fibre if you like Hulls, I shot them in 24g when I'd had arm surgery and wanted a lighter load but the 28 is probably equally as good. I've shot plastic Sovs and tend to use them when I need all the help I can get but most of the time I use something a bit 'lighter'.

    Essex Masters 2018

Yes there's more blue sky now - maybe I'll get up to High Lodge later today for a quick walk round.  I bought some Cheddite Mach 3's this week maybe I'll give them a try, but I reckon I'll use 24g for the comp tomorrow.

    Essex Masters 2018

I'm shooting this tomorrow morning, today is supposed to be sunny but it's light grey cloud here as far as the eye can see, but it looks like it'll stay dry. Looking at the BBC weather forecast I'll be lucky if it stays dry tomorrow though.  I haven't got a 4x4 but I have got some wellies.

    Gun cleaning spray

I use Muller chokes so they come out pretty easily and now I'll copy what you do prob. every other shoot.  Thanks.

    Gun cleaning spray

Thank-you Hamster, that doesn't sound too bad a cleaning regime. I usually come home from a shoot pretty shattered so don't want to spend ages cleaning but at the same time don't want to neglect it either. Also I've been surprised at how dirty a white tissue can come out of a spotless looking...
